Happy Friday, loves.  I, for one, am especially glad that it is Friday. I am going to an Anita Johnston workshop tomorrow and I am very excited about it.  Anita is the author of the book Eating in the Light of the Moon which was the guide for the group therapy I did last year and it was an essential part of my recovery from disordered eating. I am going with my dear friend, Susan, the one I went to Dallas with, and I expect that it is going to be an amazing experience.

But for now. I have to go to work. Bah.

I should be really busy all day today so I fueled up with a big bowl of carrot oat bran. I was out of the sweet potatoes I baked over the weekend so carrots it was.

018

Today’s mix contained:

  • 1/4 cup gluten free oat bran
  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla rice milk
  • 2 large carrots, finely shredded
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla stevia and flax seed

015

All I have to say is, Yum. A lovely way to start a Friday.

What are your plans for this weekend?

I would LOVE to go to one of her workshops!

Will you be writing a review of it on the blog?

I’d love to hear what you learned from the experience.

Have a great weekend! :)

For sure! It may take me a couple days to process it all as I have heard they can be highly emotional experiences but you know me, that is what I am after :D

Wow, that workshop is sure to be wonderful!! I’ve heard so many great things about that book and Anita in general. I’m going to check it out this weekend. Geneen Roth just came out with her new book and I can’t wait to get my hands on it. She’s one of the best writers about emotional eating and she really helped me along the journey to here and now. I hope you enjoy it. Have a great day!

I’m not exactly looking forward to the weekend. I’ll be working and I’m really tired of working every weekend as well as every waking hour during the week.

But your carrot oat bran looks good! I need to try that!

I am so excited about our NICE WEATHER this weekend!!! Ahhh I just want to be outside in the sunshine :)

Tonight we are doing dinner & maybe a movie. Tomorrow night is one of my best girlfriend’s bday party so hoping I’ll be ready for a much deserved glass of vino by then (it’s been too long!) ;)

I am going to HAVE to try some of your oats because they just look (and sound) so yummy!! This weekend we’re hanging close to home – girl scout outing tonight, breakfast and a trip to the park tomorrow, maybe dinner out and then Sunday is veg day and then watching the Oscars…I’m kind of an addict when it comes to award shows!

This weekend is MY weekend! I’m so excited! I usually go to one of Chad’s many flag football tournaments but yesterday I played sand volleyball all day with a big group of friends, and today I’m going to my spin class and yoga class that I’ve missed the past 2 saturdays, and sunday I got me some church, coaching, and who knows what I’ll get into afterwards! I hope you have a great weekend!
