Changing it Up

Good Morning, Everyone! Hope you all are well this lovely Friday morning. I’ve been busy doing some behind the scenes work on the blog this morning. I’ve categorized many of my intuitive eating posts and now there is a tab with sub-categories at the top of the page. If you are interested in reading more about my journey and how I ended up with my food philosophy, check it out! I still have a load of posts to go through but there are about 40 there already.

My busy morning made me hungry! I decided since I am spending the day at home, I would change things up and see how a protein and veggie breakfast holds me over. I’m not one to experiment too much when I have to go to work but on days like today, it’s fun to figure out what works and what doesn’t.

For breakfast I made scrambled eggs and wilted spinach. I seasoned the spinach with the usual mix of salt, pepper, garlic, onions, basil and a dash of nutmeg. The basil and the nutmeg make a world of difference.

On the agenda for today is working on my new website for my jewelry business and probably a bit of work on this blog as well. Hopefully, I will have a full site to share with you all soon!

Do you eat basically the same thing for breakfast each day or do you switch it up?

Glad you can stay home today….Wish i could too. About ready to dash out the door for a run and then get ready for work. I tend to eat the same b-fasts……veggies and protein do not seem to fuel me like oats do…..Have a great day!
Looking forward to seeing your jewelry!

I eat the same breakfast for awhile, and then switch it up. It doesn’t vary that much, though… I normally stick to oatmeal w/ fruit, or greek yogurt w/ cereal!

Excited to see your jewelry (beading? :) ) website!

I don’t really eat breakfast but I do tend to stick to tried and true foods for other meals if I’m looking to be satiated for a while.

Mmmm, delicious breakfast. Simple and delicious! Because I’m constantly recipe creating, I don’t eat the same thing everyday, but I definitely could. I think I could eat the same bowl of oats each morning and never get bored. I’m just that type of person. I don’t need much variety to make me happy. Have a great day!

I’m a same thing kind of girl. I have about four rotating breakfasts. It’s either toast and pb w/ fruit, almond flour pancakes, oatmeal, or a combo of one the aforementioned foods and eggs. Sometimes I get a wild streak to make an omelet but for the most part I stick to my usual stuff. It’s funny, I actually prefer eggs and that stuff for lunch and dinner. I think it’s easier when I don’t have to think about what I am going to eat for breakfast. I don’t have a whole lot of time in the morning and eating the same things makes my morning so much smoother.

I think I am starting to prefer eggs for lunch or dinner, too. I’m sitting here now feeling a bit hungry, I think they just hold me over later in the day for some reason. Kind weird.

I’m a creature of habit! I eat the same things all the time. But on the weekends I spice it up :)

Lovely pictures!!

I try to switch it up. I usually rotate between a few different faves, and then sometimes try something totally new on the weekends.

Takes a lot of courage and self-confidence to “have fun” with trying out new food combos and seeing how they affect us. :)

I mainly eat about 3 or 4 different things for breakfast, and just rotate them day by day. I know what combination of food groups works the best for my hunger, so I can figure out just about anything to have.

I need to try basil and nutmeg in my spinach next time, thanks for the tip.

I think you can tell from my food posts that I tend to have the same breakfast most days. I hit upon a combo that’s tasty and has staying power through the whole morning. And it’s easy to put together, so it’s a winner all around.

But I do like to switch it up sometimes to break up the monotony.
