Greetings from the Beach

Happy Holidays!

The dear husband and I are relaxing by the sea for Christmas this year.

We made our way to the Outerbanks, NC yesterday and have been having a nice time. On our way down, we bumped into a little health food store and had to stop in.

We picked up a few goodies and then finished the trip and arrived right around lunch time. Since I wasn’t sure of the gluten free options, I packed us a hearty lunch before we left. Brown rice pasta salad with roasted chicken, carrots, spinach and a dressing I made with olive oil and a blend of penzy’s spices.beach xmas 012

Perfect fuel for an afternoon of shopping! I must say, shopping in the OBX on Christmas Eve is nothing like I have ever experieinced before. No lines. No crazy people. Plenty of parking. Maybe we should make this a tradition :) Anyway, after shopping, we arrived at our home for the weekend and found very pleasant accommodations.

And a view that can’t be beat.

Not sure what is going on for us today, we may go see a movie and go out for a nice Christmas dinner or, we may stay here, look at the ocean and nibble all day. Whatever we do, I hope that you all enjoy your Holiday!

Peace, my friends.
