Dallas, Here I Come

The past couple of nights have been spent packing my bags for my trip this weekend. My friend, and travel companion, Susan and I are trying to share one bag to save the expenses of checking our luggage. Ordinarily, for a weekend trip by plane, I would just do a carry on but we couldn’t figure out how to accomplish packing everything we needed plus yoga mats into carry on size luggage. We also just found out that we have to bring our own props and I like sitting on a block in sukhasana and I would prefer to have mine with me. And to top things off, I think one of my cats wants to come along.

Needless to say, I’m unsure if one bag between two yoginis is going to work. Anywho, in between packing, I did stop to eat dinner on both nights. On Wednesday, I made some Annie’s to the Rescue but I made it from scratch. I made it with grass fed ground beef, gluten free ziti shaped pasta, fire roasted tomatoes with green chilies, chili powder, cumin and oregano. Twas delicious but it lit our mouths on fire.

Then, last night, the dear husband was at school and I was busy moving cats out of my luggage so I made a multi tasking meal. Otherwise known as food that can be thrown into the oven and left unattended. Applegate farms gluten free chicken nuggests

along with roasted sweet potatoes. Once again, delicious.

I did accomplish getting my bag completely packed except my mat, which has yet to make an appearance. I ordered a new mat last weekend and oh, it has been a little dramatic getting it delivered. Let’s just say that now, I have two mats and one will hopefully be delivered today in Richmond and the second will be delivered in Dallas. A big shout out to the Joyce at Beinjoy for hooking me up. I will have to ship one of them back to her next week but at least I will definitely have my mat for Baron Baptiste to turn me into a puddle on.

I will not be blogging during my trip but plan to write a recap on Monday when I return. I will however be tweeting as often as possible so check me out there if you can. Otherwise, have an awesome weekend!

Namaste

I don’t think I could do a carry-on either! I normally do, but it seems impossible when you need yoga supplies.
