For two years now, there have been signs for the Chester Farmer’s Market and before this weekend, I had gone twice and was dissapointed each time. The ads in the paper said there would be local vegetables, fruits, plants, meats, eggs and bread and that sounds right up my alley. Well, those first couple of times I went, it was sad. There were no fruits, vegetables, meats, eggs or bread. There were some plants and some crafts. Meh. Not my idea of a fun Saturday morning. So, when I saw new signs, I was hesitant to try again. We had to go to the library and it is right beside the market so I figured we could give it one more shot and I am glad I did. There was still no meat or eggs and there was more crafts than anything but there were plenty of fruits and veggies to go around.

There was even a little Montana Gold Bread.

The Chester Farmer’s Market is not everything I am looking for but I am glad to have access to local fruits and vegetables within a couple miles of my house. I came home with lots of foodie fun and am glad that I gave the market another chance.

wow- that looks incredible! My farmers market doesn’t sell much more than wine and meat :P

wow – everything looks beautiful! Our Market is pretty good most of the time, but it looks like they had some good choices, too.

I’m glad the 3rd time worked out :)

I love the fruits and veggies! The farmer`s market is such a great place. A lot of the time the farmers don`t use pesticides which I`m very happy about. Those photos make me want some!
