In my long history of dieting, pizza was always one of the foods on my forbidden foods list. Now that I am eating intuitively, I feel free to choose pizza if I want it and that I did on a recent trip to Richmond’s West End. Pizza Fusion is nestled in a little strip mall with Trader Joe’s and Ulta so I am sure this place will be a big hit.

Besides a fabulous location, Pizza Fusion is also an eco friendly restaurant serving pizza and salads made with fresh, organic ingredients. They will even deliver a pizza right to your front door in one of their Prius’!

The atmosphere at Pizza Fusion is comfortable, casual and trendy.

The menu boasts flavorful pizza combinations and in addition to organic pizzas, they offer gluten free, multigrain or even vegan selections. I don’t think there is an appetite that can’t be pleased at this charming little pizza shop!

The dear husband and I decided that we wanted to go for the classic pizza selection, organic pepperoni!

We also ordered side salads to round out the meal.

Though the staff is super friendly and attentive, it was a little slow. It took about a half hour for our pizza to arrive so we were both ready to eat by the time the pizza came.

I enjoyed two slices of the pizza and thought it was really tasty. The organic tomato sauce was the star of this pizza, it was the freshest sauce I think I have ever tasted. The multi grain crust was thin and just crispy enough.

The flavors were bright and the pepperoni was robust and salty. I enjoy every last bite and accomplished the task at hand. I left feeling satisfied from a good meal and didn’t feel overly full.

Pizza Fusion will surely be on our list of places to eat when we are in that neck of the woods. I’d highly recommend a trip to Pizza Fusion next time you get a hankering for pizza!

Hi Madison,

Thanks for reading and taking the time to comment. I am not sure if you will come back to read the follow up to your comment but I did want to explain why I edited part of it. The mission of this blog is to be a safe and supportive environment for intuitive eaters and as part of that, we reject the diet mentality. I hope that you will understand.
